I agree - she should not have opened it if she didn't want you in tbere. Rule #10 in the cat world - if there is a drawer/door open, cat has the right to be in/on it.
Behind the drawers is the best!
The peeps used to have a waterbed frame with drawers underneath, and we learned to open them so we could hide behind the drawers. We recommend it as a hiding technique for scaring the humans into thinking you escaped.

Last night Waffles INSISTED on going in the cupboard when Glogirly was making dinner. She said, FINE. And then shut the door. Not hearing anything at all a few minutes later, she opened it up. There he is, curled up and sleeping. Kittens. Whattaya gonna do?
